By applying for and participating in the role of Gin Taster for Penrhos Spirits, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
You must apply by 16th Feb to take part of Chief Gin Tasting.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – PENRHOS SPIRITS CHIEF GIN TASTER OPPORTUNITY
- THE OPPORTUNITY 1.1 The “Chief Gin Taster” opportunity (“the Role”) is operated by Penrhos Spirits Limited, registered at Penrhos Farm, Kington Herefordshire, HR5 3LH, (“the Company”). 1.2 The Role is open to one successful candidate who will serve as a taste tester for a period of 12 months from appointment date.
- ELIGIBILITY 2.1 Entrants must be:
- Aged 25 or over at the time of application
- Resident in the United Kingdom
- Not employed by Penrhos Spirits Limited or any affiliated companies
- Not employed by any competing spirits brands or distributors
- Proof of age and identity will be required before appointment
- The Company reserves the right to verify eligibility of all applicants.
- APPLICATION PROCESS 3.1 Applications open at 00:01 GMT on 15.01.25 and close at 23:59 GMT on 16.02.25 .
- Applications must be submitted via Google Forms. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Selection criteria will include:
- Demonstrated knowledge of craft spirits
- Ability to articulate tasting notes
- Previous experience with spirits tasting (professional or amateur)
- Communication skills
- Shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in virtual or in-person tasting sessions.
- THE ROLE
- Successful candidates will:
- Receive samples of pre-release gins for tasting and evaluation
- Provide detailed feedback on product characteristics
- Participate in up to 6 tasting sessions over 12 months
- Sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding unreleased products The Role is voluntary and does not constitute employment with the Company. 4.3 No monetary compensation will be provided. Product samples provided remain the property of Penrhos Spirits until consumed.
- RESPONSIBLE DRINKING 5.1 Participants must agree to:
- Follow responsible drinking guidelines
- Not operate vehicles or machinery after tasting sessions
- Complete tasting notes within designated timeframes
- Store samples securely and away from minors 5.2 The Company promotes responsible alcohol consumption and reserves the right to terminate participation for any behaviour deemed inappropriate.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 6.1 All feedback, suggestions, and tasting notes provided become the property of Penrhos Spirits Limited. 6.2 Participants may not publicly discuss unreleased products without written permission. 6.3 The Company reserves all rights to use participant feedback in product development and marketing.
- LIABILITY 7.1 The Company accepts no responsibility for:
- Applications not received due to technical issues
- Loss or damage to samples in transit
- Any health issues arising from responsible product consumption 7.2 Participants take part at their own risk and confirm they have no known alcohol allergies or health conditions that prevent safe participation.
- DATA PROTECTION 8.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. 8.2 Data will be used solely for:
- Application processing
- Communication regarding the Role
- Delivery of samples
- Marketing purposes where consent is given.
- TERMINATION 9.1 The Company reserves the right to:
- Modify or cancel the opportunity at any time
- Remove participants who breach these terms
- Substitute products or experiences of equivalent value.
